Provider services

Medical support that complements your reproductive health care.

Asali Health provides focused, NP-led reproductive health assessment and fertility optimization for clinician-referred patients in Ontario and British Columbia. We complement the patient's ongoing care rather than replace it. Every investigation must be clinically appropriate following an independent patient assessment.

$149

One defined consultation from referral review through written recommendations and return to the referring provider.

What is included

  • Review of the referral and available medical records
  • Focused patient clarification through secure asynchronous messaging, with a short video appointment if the NP requires additional information
  • Clinical decision-making regarding appropriate investigations
  • Clinically indicated laboratory or imaging requisitions, including evidence-based reproductive and fertility biomarkers where appropriate
  • Review of investigation results
  • One written consultation report sent to the patient and/or referring provider
  • Return of the patient to the referring provider for ongoing care

Flexible virtual format: Patients may provide clarification through secure asynchronous messaging based on their preference. If the Nurse Practitioner requires additional information to complete the assessment, a short video appointment is arranged. Regular email or text messaging is not used for personal health information.

Additional focused follow-up: $60 for up to 15 minutes, if needed.

The consultation fee is for the NP professional service, not for access to insured testing.

Publicly insured laboratory or imaging services are ordered only when medically indicated and eligible under applicable coverage rules. Some investigations may not be publicly insured and could carry a separate laboratory or imaging fee.

Asali Health does not promise a particular requisition, result, diagnosis, or referral before assessing the patient. DUTCH testing is not offered. Biomarker testing is limited to clinically appropriate conventional laboratory investigations. Male hormone assessment is not a pathway to automatic testosterone prescribing.

Decisions are shared with the patient and referring provider.

We carefully review the referring provider's clinical question, suggested investigations, prior findings, and care priorities. We also discuss relevant options, benefits, limitations, and patient preferences during the focused consultation. We aim to accommodate recommendations wherever they are clinically appropriate, relevant to the patient's presentation, and within the Nurse Practitioner's scope.

Final decisions about investigations, imaging, treatment recommendations, and referrals are reached through shared clinical decision-making with the patient, informed by the referring provider's recommendations and the Nurse Practitioner's independent assessment. They must meet applicable clinical, regulatory, and coverage requirements. When a requested investigation is not ordered, the consultation report will explain the clinical reasoning and suggest appropriate next steps where possible.
